HI all after getting my oil situation under control I have a new question about the bike , basically after riding it for a while and its up to temperature
And has been running fine and I stop for ten minutes or so, when I go to start it on the electric start it will turn over for a bit longer than usual so I give it a bit of throttle and it kicks out a reasonably loud back fire then starts fine, turn it off and starts fine next time. it did this right at the end of the last ride I came on and did it again tonight any suggestions is it just that its hot or spark plug needs changing its running fine other than that any suggestions would be very helpful.
New one to me Ryan. Check the plug is the right plug first port of call. I had big hassle with an old AJS when some one told me the equivalent NGk plug to the recommended plug was effectively the same etc etc. they ain't ....make sure the recommended plug is fitted.
Check the inlet valve clearance ,when valve gets warm it stretches a tad letting fuel in but when cold a bugger to start, doesn't cost money to check easy job

Try turning your fuel off when you stop. If it cures it look at your float level and valve, slow turning over can point to excess fuel in the mixture which is harder to compress/burn.
Just remember to turn the fuel back on or you'll become a star of one of Tims "how to" videos.
Valves maybe, carb possibly, they come loose btw sometimes at the carb inlet insulator block. Check spark plug for fouling, maybe piston and rings on their way.
Manual or auto decompressor?
